Out Of Style

According to this mannequin in the Athens, Georgia Macy's, the Seventh Grade Ass-Wrap is a legitimate way to wear a sweater.

Everyone has donned this look at least once in their life, though it's usually when you're under the age of 13 and you can't convince your mom to hold your coat.

Last I remember, this look came and went with Grunge in the 1990s.

I just spent 15 minutes trying to find a photo of this fashion phenomenon. I couldn't.

I wonder why.

Air...it's missing something

So everyone's going crazy over this new MacBook Air. I admit, I'm also pretty impressed. The computer is less than an inch thick, but retains a full-sized keyboard and a 13" display. 

But what confused me initially was the lack of a CD-ROM drive. 

Apparently the computer wirelessly connects to the CD-ROM drive of any other PC or Mac and transfers data wirelessly. Alright, so you have to have two computers. Users can also shell out an extra $100 for an external SuperDrive that's apparently "slightly larger than a CD case" and connects via USB. So...am I supposed to carry this with me everywhere?

After watching the walkthrough on Apple's website, I've come to the conclusion that this computer is for businesspeople on the go. The host, John, talks about meetings, presentations, and dark conference rooms. He speaks of connecting projectors, or using the computer on a plane. He also wirelessly installs Microsoft Office. 

I've decided that if you're involved with music production, graphic design, or video, this is probably not the computer for you. 

Though I will say, I love the new trackpad. It has multiple functions based on the gestures you use. In addition to the one-finger click, two-finger right click, and two-finger scrolling, Apple has added the "pinch" feature (used for zooming in/out), and the three-finger "swipe" (pages you back and forward while surfing the web).

Aesthetically, it's beautiful, aside from the black keyboard! I demand keys that match the shell.

Add a SuperDrive, give me 4GB(+) memory, change that keyboard, and I'll buy it.

Cloverfield takes over

I'm writing this post from a Cloverfield widget I found on Facebook. I'm guessing it's going to post this same widget on my blog.

Take note - when you click "Grab This!" a cool little box will come up, offering almost every social networking site on the internet for you to post to. Now that's awesome.
